Essence All About Nudes Eyeshadow Palette

If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you’ll know I have a lot of love for Essence. Essence is such an affordable makeup brand, but the products are really impressive and they’re constantly bringing out new products to keep their range fresh. I’ve tried a lot of Essence products over the last couple of years since they launched in the UK, but I think I’ve only been disappointed by one product thus far and that was the Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette which was poorly pigmented and unimpressive compared to the rest of their products but recently Essence relaunched their palette range and I have the new Essence All About Nudes Eyeshadow Palette which I was looking forward to trying to see how it compared to the previous version.

The Essence All About Nudes Eyeshadow Palette is just £4 and contains eight decent sized eyeshadows within rectangular pans. The packaging is pretty basic, with clear plastic but I like that it’s clear as you can see the shades inside easily, without having to open lids etc. I thought the new version would have the same shades, but the new palette has different shades and features two extra shadows and only costs 50 pence more than the original. The palette contains a mixture of matte, shimmer, satin and glitter shades which I think is pretty good for a £4 drugstore offering.

The eyeshadows are not as pigmented as the likes of Too Faced or Urban Decay, but they’re not going to be seeing as they’re £4 per palette but I think they’re pretty good. The pigmentation and texture has definitely improved since their last palette, and the shades are a lot easier to blend too. The shadows feel so creamy and smooth that they feel like they have a cream to powder formulation which melts onto the eyelids with very little blending. I think the Essence All About Nudes Eyeshadow Palette is well worth a look, and they have a few other palettes in the range too which I’ll be featuring on my blog very soon…
