Soap & Glory Archery Brow Almighty Powder-Glide Crayon

Soap & Glory Archery Brow Almighty Powder-Glide Crayon

I was lucky enough to receive a few of the new Soap & Glory spring makeup launches, and one of those products is the Soap & Glory Archery Brow Almighty Powder-Glide Crayon which I was excited to try as I really love the Soap & Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow Filling Pencil and Brush. The Soap & Glory Archery Brow Almighty Powder-Glide Crayon is £8 and is available in three different shades; Love Is Blonde, Brownie Points and Dark Daze, and I have the shade Dark Daze which is the darkest shade. Usually the Soap & Glory brow products only come in two shades, so it’s good to see that they’ve extended the shade range slightly although I really do feel they should extend it further to cover more hair colours.

The Soap & Glory Archery Brow Almighty Powder-Glide Crayon is described as being able to create long lasting statement brows, and that the crayon can “fill, tame and define” the brows. The crayon is rather thick, with a twistable base and I was a little stumped on how to use it as I’m used to using very precise and fine brow pencils. With the Soap & Glory Archery Brow Almighty Powder-Glide Crayon you get 1.5g of product, whilst the Soap & Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow Filling Pencil only contains 0.085g for £8 so with the Brow Almighty you’re getting much, much more product for your money. The shade Dark Daze is such a fantastic match for my very dark brows, and I love that it’s very cool toned as dark eyebrow products tend to lean quite warm but there’s no warmness at all with Dark Daze thankfully.

The consistency of the crayon is very soft, and you only have to touch your skin very lightly for colour payoff so I’d recommend a very light hand or you’ll be left with sharpie brows. The crayon glides across the skin almost as if it was a gel or cream rather than a crayon, and it does leave your brows looking pretty severe initially so I use a spoolie straight after I’ve applied the crayon to soften the edges and make my brows look a little more natural. I’m lucky that my brows are naturally full so I only have to ‘draw’ a line through my brows and then spoolie it through, and that’s my brows done in literally ten seconds but if you have sparse brows, this product is definitely not for you as it doesn’t offer any precision whatsoever.

Due to the softness, I find that the crayon does fade unless I use a clear brow gel over the top but I do really like it, especially on the days I need to do my makeup quickly. I wish the crayon was just a little thinner as the rounded tip became even more rounded in only a few uses so it offers even less precision and you can’t sharpen it which is a shame. Usually I like to use a fine pencil so I can draw hair-like strokes through my brows to build up the intensity of my brows but you can’t do that with the Brow Almighty; it’s full statement brows or nothing, but I do love how amazingly quick and easy to use it is and the shade is such a great match for my brows.
