The Dr Organic Snail Gel is a product I’ve owned for many months now, but I just couldn’t bring myself to try it.. until recently that is. I have a genuine phobia of slugs and snails, so the idea of putting snail slime on my face just made my stomach turn. However I became more and more intrigued by its powers after seeing that it is Ashley Roberts holy grail skincare product.. her skin is incredible, so I had to man up and bite the bullet. Since Ashley mentioned it being her skincare secret, it’s led to an amazing 700% rise in sales of the Dr. Organic Snail Gel.
Dr Organic describe their Snail Gel as being a moisturising, soothing, anti-aging gel which contains Helix Aspersia Muller; a unique substance that snails produce to quickly regenerate and repair their shell and skin when damaged. Aspersia Muller also contains Glycolic Acid,
Collagen, Elastin, Allantoin, Vitamins and Minerals.. all of which are extremely beneficial for the skin. Dr. Organic have added organic Aloe Vera
to the gel, to soothe and hydrate the skin.
Dr Organic Snail Gel £19.99
* also contains Lime Oil, Lemongrass Oil and Litsea Cubeba Oil.. without containing parabens, fragrances, SLS, artificial colour or preservatives. The directions for using the gel are to apply a small amount to your face and neck after cleansing,
and then apply a moisturiser over the gel, once it has fully absorbed. Although the directions mention applying it to face and neck, it is possible to use the Snail Gel on the body too.
Dr Organic Snail Gel Review
The Dr Organic Snail Gel is clear in colour and has a thick consistency which absorbs almost instantly on contact with the skin. Before trying the Snail Gel, I was apprehensive about its scent and texture. Once the lid has been unscrewed, the Snail Gel has a very strong citrus scent which is quite pleasant.. and not at all like I expected.
The citrus scent disappears within a minute of application, but leaves my skin feeling very fresh
and soothed. Whenever I apply the gel, I notice that it smooths over my dry patches
making them a lot less noticeable.. which is ideal before I apply makeup.
Since I’ve been using this Dr Organic Snail Gel, I’ve noticed an improvement in my skin’s texture. My skin looks so much smoother, and refined.. with my dry patches looking a lot less prominent which is my main skincare concern. If I’m completely honest, I never expected to see any benefits from using this Snail Gel but I really have seen the benefits for myself.
Don’t just take my word for it, the many reviews on the Holland and Barrett
website are all glowing and also very complementary. When this jar runs out, I will definitely purchase a replacement as it’s made such a difference from the very first application.. I’m so pleased I ignored my hatred of snails and gave this a try.
