I had the pleasure of featuring a collection of the Dirty Works Makeup range here on my blog back in April, and today I have a selection of products to show you from the newly extended Dirty Works Coconut Collection. If you’re new to the Dirty Works brand, they’re a kitsch British beauty brand which “combines fun design with good quality formulations and stunning fragrances” whilst also being very affordable. You can find Dirty Works products in selected Sainsbury’s stores, and they also have an online store section on their website where they offer free UK delivery on orders over £15, and international shipping from £5.95.
Coconut is my absolute favourite scent so I knew this collection would be right up my street, and the collection consists of both products and gift sets. I have a couple of the products and one of their gift sets and I’m so surprised by how affordable everything is as the packaging is so cute, yet the formulas are fab. I have tried the Dirty Works Coconut Body Wash a couple of years ago, and I really enjoyed it so I’m very pleased there’s now a whole coconut range for coconut lovers like myself.
Dirty Works Bubble In Paradise Coconut Duo Gift Set £8.79
“Love Coconut?! This tropical treat is perfect for those who do! An utterly coconutty duo including a Coconut Body Wash that lathers up into a frothy, foamy concoction and a rich and creamy Coconut Body Butter to help keep skin soft and smooth. What’s more there’s also a funky flamingo printed shower cap to keep hair dry whilst you’re showering away and dreaming of those holidays to come!“
How cute is this gift set, and how is it under £9?! This gift set includes a Coconut Body Wash and Coconut Body Butter, both of which are 125ml as well as the cutest flamingo printed shower cap. It’s so rare to find decent gift sets under £10, and I feel as if you could pay £10 for two tubes of product alone so it’s amazing they’ve included the shower cap too. I have a rather fetching pink shower cap which I bought from Boots and it was £7 so to get both products and a much nicer shower cap for £8.79 is fantastic value.
The body wash within the set is the same body wash I tried in the past, but the packaging as been revamped. Before it was a bright red tube, but I like that the whole Dirty Works Coconut Collection has a white and red colour theme, with red stars. This really is a lovely gift set and 125ml is generous for a gift set too, as many sets tend to offer miniature sizes. It would be the perfect way to try the Dirty Works brand, and the shower cap is very nicely made and it manages to hold my super long, thick hair which is even better.
Dirty Works Coconut Crush Hand Cream 100ml £3.99
“An utterly coconutty, tropical treat perfect for hands crying out for some moisture-loving. A luscious combination of Jojoba Oil and Cocoa Butter are quickly absorbed and leave skin softer, smoother and smelling delicious.“
I love trying new hand creams and I particularly love coconut hand creams. This tube is so large for an handcream and it has a lovely, lightweight formula which absorbs nicely into the skin without leaving your hands feeling tacky. I hate it when handcreams make your hands feel almost sticky as I end up wanting to wash my hands which completely negates the point of applying handcream. This handcream is nicely nourishing, and due to the generous size, it doubles up as a body cream too.
Dirty Works Coconut Foaming Sugar Scrub 250g £5.50
“Help banish dry, dull skin with this Coconut Foaming Sugar Scrub containing natural sugar crystals to exfoliate, nourishing Coconut Oil and hydrating Shea Butter. The creamy formulation lathers up into a frothy, foamy, fabulous concoction that leaves skin feeling super soft, cleansed and smelling delicious!“
The Foaming Sugar Scrub is the last product I have from the Dirty Works Coconut Collection. Sugar or salt scrubs are my favourite kind of body scrub as I like how effective the coarser grains are when buffing the skin. However some sugar/salt scrubs can leave the skin feeling a little dry. This award winning foaming sugar scrub has the sugar crystals suspended within a coconut oil and shea butter base, which lathers on contact with water.
I’ve enjoyed applying this scrub to damp skin whilst turning the shower off so it doesn’t foam up until I’ve finished scrubbing, and then use a shower puff to rinse the granules away. It smells almost good enough to eat, and the scrub leaves my skin feeling amazingly soft and smooth. If you like the Soap and Glory scrubs, you’ll really like this Dirty Works scrub as it’s very effective and under £6.
