Apply body lotion is one of my least favorite beauty rituals and whilst I love how soft and smooth body lotion leaves my skin, I just find it to be somewhat of a faff to apply post shower.
My all-time favorite body lotion is the Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream which is so worth the hype, but it’s very rich and decadent, and I’ve found it to be a little too rich for the warmer months.
I’ve tried a couple of spray lotions and my favorite was the Palmers Rapid Moisture Coconut Spray Lotion but for some strange reason it was discontinued, so I’ve been on the hunt for a similar spray lotion, so when I saw the Dove Nourishing Secrets Restoring Ritual Lotion Spray I knew I had to try it.

Dove Nourishing Secrets Restoring Ritual Lotion Spray Review
I find with spray lotions you either get sandblasted by the nozzle or it’s the complete opposite, and it’s a pathetic nozzle that you have to hold down for a minute to get enough for one limb.
Dove have got the perfect nozzle on their Dove Nourishing Secrets Restoring Ritual Lotion Spray as you only need to ‘draw’ a line on each section of skin, and then use your hands to blend it in.
This lotion is very lightweight and quick to absorb, without leaving any residue on the skin, so it’s been ideal for the warmer days when richer formulas can feel almost suffocating on the skin.
If you have dry skin, I don’t think you’ll find this lotion to be hydrating enough, and it definitely won’t be hydrating enough for me once Autumn comes along.
My favourite thing about the Dove Nourishing Secrets Restoring Ritual Lotion Spray is the amazing coconut scent. Some coconut scents can be quite artificial, but this spray smells divine.
The scents linger on the skin for a couple of hours too, which is nice, but I do wish there was perhaps a slightly more intensive version of this spray lotion.
The nozzle is perfect, and it takes seconds to apply, and smells lovely, but it won’t be moisturizing enough once the temperatures drop and for £6.99 you only get 190ml, so it’s not the best value either.
You can purchase the Dove Nourishing Secrets Restoring Ritual Lotion Spray from Superdrug.
