It’s almost the middle of November already, which means Black Friday weekend is almost upon us. If you’re planning on making some purchases over cyber weekend, I wanted to share some tips on how to find the best Black Friday deals this year.
What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is always the last Friday in November, and falls straight after Thanksgiving. Black Friday weekend begins on the 27th of November, and will carry through to Monday which is known as being Cyber Monday.
It’s usually where retailers offer heavy discounts across their products, and it’s always the most hotly anticipated sales of the year. It can however feel a little overwhelming knowing what to buy, and where from.
Make a List
If you have specific items you’re looking for in the Black Friday sales, I’d highly recommend making a list beforehand to ensure you get exactly what you want/need.
It’s very easy to get swept up in the hype surrounding the many promotional emails and social media posts, but decide what you want beforehand means you won’t forget.
If for example you’re in desperate need of a new mattress, make a note of information on mattress sale UK deals and make a bookmark on your computer, so you can head directly to the site when the deals are live.
Newsletters
I have to admit, retailer newsletters really grind my gears, but they can be so helpful when you want to know which retailers are offering generous discounts.
If you have a favourite retailer, I’d recommend signing up to their newsletter now, so they’ll email you once their deals go live. Newsletters often carry special discounts or free delivery codes, which are always handy once Black Friday is over.
Deal Forums
If you appreciate a good deal or discount, I’d recommend registering to one of the deal forums like Money Saving Expert or Hot Deals UK, as members post sales and promotional codes throughout the day so you can spot amazing deals before they sell out.
Be Early
This year, we’ve seen many retailers start their Black Friday discounts a little earlier due to the global crisis so you might not necessarily have to wait until the end of November to snap up a bargain! It might still be better to hold out for Black Friday, but it’s great that we can take advantage of sales and discounts throughout November!
I hope you found these tips on how to find the best Black Friday deals helpful, and you manage to snap up some bargains!
