Jewellery Trends for Autumn / Winter 2020
I’m not entirely sure where the year has gone, but we’re now officially in autumn. It’s less than three months until Christmas, and it’s scary how quickly this year has flown by. Autumn and winter are my favourite months of the year, especially in terms of fashion and beauty, and it’s always fun to see which trends are going to be popular over autumn and winter.
Bigger The Better
Many of the AW20 runway shows showcased big statement pieces. Statement jewelry is a trend which never really dwindles, but this season it’s all about the big sculptural pieces, from designers such as Givenchy and Valentino. Statement jewellery doesn’t have to cost a fortune, depending on what kind of vibe you’re looking for; from Hip Hop Jewelry through to intricate crystal pieces.
Chandelier Earrings
Chandelier earrings link into the whole bigger the better vibe, but big earrings are in. We are talking big, layered earrings that would give a chandelier a run for its money. The larger earrings which hang just above your shoulder are being seen everywhere right now, and they can totally transform a whole outfit. Just because they’re large, it doesn’t mean they have to be heavy either, so don’t let the idea of heavy earrings put you off trying the chandelier earrings trend.
Hearts
Hearts are everywhere right now from homeware to fashion. Hearts never truly go out of style, but this season is the perfect time to enjoy the hearts trend. You can opt for Iced Out Jewelry hearts or perhaps more dainty heart shaped studs, either way hearts always look cute and stylish.
Chains
Chains are another timeless jewellery piece, but layered chains in particular are super popular right now. You can opt for a layered chain look mixing your metals, or opt for a more dainty trace chain. Either way, chains complement any fashion look, and they’re both easy to dress up or down, and you don’t have to spend a fortune to try out this trend as there’s so many great high street pieces available right now.
I hope you enjoyed learning about the Jewellery Trends for Autumn / Winter 2020.
