“Treat dry, flaky skin to all-day hydration with Kiehl’s Crème de Corps – our nourishing, skin smoothing body butter. This rich moisturiser is specially formulated to improve skin texture, containing a high concentration of skin-nurturing ingredients such as Shea Butter, Avocado Oil and Squalane. Continued use for 10 days will leave your skin feeling beautifully softer, smoother and hydrated, making this intensive moisturiser a firm customer favourite.“
I have read so many rave reviews on the Creme de Corps but until now I’d never actually tried it for myself. I really love the colourful festive scene which surrounds the bottle and like how modern and quirky it is for a festive design. The bottle has fliptop lid with a small opening for the cream to dispense from, which I’ve found to be less than ideal as the cream is rather thick thus making it difficult to squeeze out from such a small opening. I’ve found it to be a lot easier to just unscrew the lid and squeeze the cream from the bottle directly as it’s quicker and more convenient. The Creme de Corps is one of Kiehl’s most best-selling products and can be used all over the body, and said to be especially effective for those with dry to extremely dry skin.
The cream has a shea butter scent which is quite strong, but I like it personally however if you don’t like the scent of shea butter than this product is not for you. The formula is obviously very rich as it’s a super nourishing body cream, but I do find that it leaves my skin and hands looking a little shiny after application and I have to allow the cream to fully absorb before dressing as it can feel a touch greasy but on the flipside it’s very, very nourishing and works wonder on any particularly dry areas such as ankles, knees and elbows.
Kiehl’s Calendula Herbal Extract Toner 250ml £34.50
– Kiehl’s calendula toner is designed to help soothe problem skin
– Made with whole flowers and pure extracts this toner maintains the natural balance and integrity of the skin
– Alcohol-free
I don’t know if I’ve been living under a rock but I don’t recall ever hearing about this Toner before, but I still couldn’t wait to try it as I love toners; they’re definitely one of my favourite skincare steps. This toner is the colour of apple juice which looks a little strange but don’t let the colour put you off as the colour is down to the flowers and pure extracts within the toner and you can see actual petals suspended within the liquid which is amazing. I’ll be honest, the smell isn’t amazing within the bottle but after I’ve applied it to a cotton pad, I can’t smell it at all and it doesn’t leave any residue on residual scent on the skin whatsoever. This is definitely one of the gentlest toners I’ve ever used, and it’s a product I’m glad to own especially for when my sensitive skin flares up or I have a flare up of my contact dermatitis. When using this toner, it leaves my skin feeling purified but not stripped or uncomfortable, and it’s ideal as a soothing/calming toner step within your skincare routine.
