Revolution have teamed up with Friends (random I know) to create a makeup collection, featuring palettes, glosses, scrunchies, makeup bags and a mirror. I bought the palettes and the Revolution x Friends Monica Lip Gloss, as I love the Revolution Pout Bomb Lip Glosses, and the packaging looked similar, so I hoped the gloss would be the same formula as their Pout Bomb glosses.
Revolution x Friends Monica Lip Gloss
The Revolution x Friends Monica Lip Gloss is one of six glosses within the collection, with a lip gloss for all six main Friends characters; Ross, Chandler, Joey, Monica, Phoebe and Rachel.
The six glosses are £6 each, and they have patterned lids to represent each character. The Monica lip gloss has the picture frame from the back of Monica’s door all over the lid.
“Each lip bomb lip gloss provides an intense colour pay-off, with a wet look finish- the perfect collection to take you from day to night! Great for your makeup bag or to gift to a Friends fan pal.“
The Revolution x Friends Monica Lip Gloss is described as being a medium mauve neutral which has to be one of the most unhelpful lip gloss descriptions of life.
They’ve not even mentioned the glitter, but in my opinion it’s a browny nude with lots of silver glitter, and there’s some multicoloured micro glitter too. As the gloss fades away, it leaves the glitter behind on the lips which I don’t love, but that happens with almost any glittery lip gloss.
This gloss is much more gloopy and thick than the main Pout Bomb glosses. I have three of the Pout Bomb glosses, and none of them are stringy and sticky like this one. When you pull the large doefoot applicator from the tube, there are always strings of gloss which end up all over the valve at the top of the tube.
Whenever lip glosses are sticky, it does mean they last longer on the lips, and the Revolution x Friends Monica Lip Gloss lasts for around three hours on the lips which is pretty impressive for a lip gloss.
